A few tips to network at conferences that can make your experience more valuable:
- Do some research even before you head to the event. The event attendee list is available on event apps, etc. Look up people of interest on social media, send them connection requests on LinkedIn, and ask them to meet up during the conference. This way, you’ve already done some groundwork before the actual event.
- Note down a few icebreaking questions you can use to start off conversations with new people. Ask things like where they are from, which company, or what they’re liking so far about the event. Keep things professional, yet friendly.
