Measurements in Inspection Items
Capture detailed insights during inspections — and present them clearly to your customers
Technicians can now enter numeric values like tread depth or brake pad thickness directly into inspection items. These measurements auto-format with correct units and display clearly on customer-facing reports, helping shops build greater trust with real, visual proof of vehicle condition. No setup required — we’ve added measurement fields intelligently where they matter most. The result? Faster inspections, more transparency, and a professional experience your customers will appreciate.
Mandatory Fields for Inspections
Encourage complete inspections and increase your chances to sell more services
We’re introducing Mandatory Fields to help your team stay consistent and thorough during inspections. This feature is off by default but can be enabled in Settings > Inspection Settings > Pro mode.
Once turned on, key checklist items — including Dash Indicator Lights, Brake Pads, Tire Condition, Brake Fluid, Battery, Coolant, and Engine & Cabin Filters — will need to be completed before Technicians can mark inspections as done.
If any are missed, Service Managers will receive a warning and can still choose to send the inspection to the customer. Most of these items relate to vehicle safety or help reduce shop liability — making them essential for high-quality inspections.
Magic Parts Lookup with Nexpart Catalog Support
Find compatible inventory parts and order them online from your Nexpart suppliers
Magic Part Lookup now supports the Nexpart catalog, making it easier to find compatible inventory parts using vehicle data. With this integration, you can now access a broader range of Nexpart exclusive suppliers like PartSource, Lordco etc – expanding your part coverage.
To streamline sourcing, go to Settings > Integrations > Magic Services and select Nexpart (or PartsTech) as your primary catalog provider. If no match is found with the preferred catalog provider, the system will automatically fallback to the secondary provider (PartsTech or Nexpart) to ensure you get the right part.
Ongoing Improvements: We’re working closely with Nexpart to enhance their catalog data for certain suppliers (e.g., PartSource and Lordco) which will improve inventory matching. Stay tuned for more updates!
Add Taxes to Online Purchase Orders
Make your POs and supplier invoices match seamlessly
Until now, online Purchase Orders placed through Nexpart, PartsTech, and other suppliers didn’t capture tax amounts, leading to potential discrepancies between AutoLeap and supplier invoices. With this update, you can now set default tax settings for Parts and Tires, adjust taxability at the individual item level, and easily review or edit tax amounts before finalizing the PO. This ensures your totals match supplier invoices, keeping your reports and accounting exports clean, consistent, and easy to reconcile.
Improvements
Tire Storage Enhancements (Beta)
Save time with automatic descriptions and improved customer-facing documents
We’ve made tire storage faster and more informative. Descriptions are now auto-filled for tires-in and tires-out, saving your team time. Tread depth measurements appear on all customer-facing documents, visually highlighting in case any tire needs repair. It’s a smoother, smarter experience for both your shop and your customers.
Streamlined NexPart Integration
Simplified parts ordering, better flexibility, and fewer errors!
Ordering parts through Nexpart is now faster and smoother.
- VIN is no longer required to pass over YMM details from AutoLeap to NexPart.
- No need to remove unwanted items from your NexPart cart before placing an order. Simply select which parts to order—just like you do in PartsTech—and streamline your workflow.
- Want to adjust the quantity of an item? No problem! You can now change quantities directly via the service line.
Customer Search experiences
Search customers using primary and secondary contacts
When creating Repair Orders or Appointments, you can now search using both primary and secondary contacts saved in the system. This helps ensure you find the correct customer right away and avoid creating duplicate records — making your workflows faster, cleaner, and more accurate.
