Taxable Status Persistence Across Parts Ordering Stages
What’s Fixed
- Previously, when a user manually changed the taxable status of a part during the unordered stage, the updated value was saved temporarily but reverted back to the system default after the item moved to the ordered stage
- The issue occurred due to the default Purchase Order Taxability setting being reapplied after order placement
Updated Behavior
- Manually selected taxable statuses now persist consistently across all order stages:
- Unordered
- Ordered
- Delivered
- System default taxability settings are now applied only when no manual override has been made by the user
- User-selected taxable values remain intact after:
- Saving updates
- Refreshing the page
- Confirming and placing orders
- Marking items as delivered
Impact
- Prevents unexpected taxability resets during parts ordering workflows
- Ensures consistent tax calculations and invoice accuracy
- Reduces the need for repeated manual corrections
- Improves reliability of tax handling across Parts Ordering stages
Labor Rate Sync: Update Once, Apply on All Labor Items
What’s new
You can now push Labor Rate changes from Settings directly to your catalog in just a few clicks — no more updating items one by one. When you change a Labor Rate, AutoLeap will surface every Labor item, Canned Service, and Flat Rate tied to it, and let you update them all in a single flow. For multi-location shops, changes apply across every location automatically.
Why this matters
Updating a Labor Rate used to mean opening each affected catalog item and editing it individually — a tedious task that grew with every new service you added. This release turns that into a guided bulk update so your pricing stays consistent across the catalog the moment you raise (or lower) a rate.
Key changes
Bulk update on save. When you update a Labor Rate in Settings > Pricing > Labor Rates and save, a new modal appears listing every Labor item and Canned Service that uses that rate. You can apply the new rate to all affected items or hand-pick the ones you want updated.
Manual sync, anytime. If you skip the prompt or want to re-sync later, a new Sync button on the Labor Rates page lets you re-run the update flow on demand.
Multi-location ready. Updates propagate across all locations in real time, so pricing stays aligned no matter how many shops you operate.
How to use it
Head to Settings > Pricing > Labor Rates, edit a rate, and save. Use the modal that appears to choose which catalog items, Canned Services, and Flat Rates should pick up the new pricing.

IMPROVEMENTS
Customer address fields no longer required at customer creation
Summary: Address fields (Street, City, State, Zip, Country) are no longer validated as mandatory at customer creation or in the Customer Side Panel. Enforcement now happens at invoicing for shops that have set the address field mandatory for customer information.
What changed: Street, City, State, Zip, and Country fields can be left empty when creating a customer or editing through the Customer Side Panel without blocking the save. The fields remain visible and editable. The compliance banner in the Customer Side Panel will also no longer appear when address is the only mandatory field flagged. All other mandatory fields (name, phone, email, etc.) behave as before.
How this helps: Service advisors can create customer records faster without being blocked at the front desk for address details that often aren’t available at first contact. Address enforcement still happens where it actually matters — at invoicing — so compliance isn’t compromised, just deferred to the right moment in the workflow.

What’s New

- Part Brands Added: 25,472
- Sub-brands (Product Lines) Added: 1,918
Impact
- Broader brand availability for shops
- Improved search and selection experience for brands when added Tires or Parts to Autoleap

IMPROVEMENTS
Charge Account Credit Limit Improvements
Shared charge account credit limits across locations (multi-location only): Shop owners on multi-location plans will be able to enable “Aggregate credit limit usage across all shops” under General Settings → Charge Accounts. When turned on, a customer’s credit availability is calculated against their combined outstanding balance across every location, preventing a customer from independently consuming their full limit at each shop. This setting defaults to off and has no impact on single-location behavior.
Cross-location charge account usage breakdown: When shared credit limits are enabled, the Finance tab will include a Usage by Location section showing each shop’s contribution to the customer’s total balance, sorted by highest usage first. Shops with no outstanding balance are hidden, and the section does not appear when shared limits are turned off.
Privilege-gated charge account credit limit bypass: A new user privilege — “Ability to bypass charge account credit limit” — will be available under User Privileges → Customers. When assigned, designated users such as managers can finalize ROs even when a customer has exceeded their charge account limit. Users without this privilege continue to see a hard block at finalization with no change to their experience. Privileged users will see the existing warning but can proceed — every bypass is logged, capturing the user, customer, RO number, amount, and credit limit at the time of override, giving shop owners a full audit trail.
RO Fees: Apply fees to Sublet items + select multiple item types
What changed
You can now apply RO fees to Sublet items and choose multiple item types when configuring where a fee applies.
How it works
- Sublet added as an item type
Sublet is now available under the “Applicable on” section when creating or editing an RO fee. - Multi-select item types
You can now select multiple item types (e.g., Part, Labor, Tire, Sublet, etc.) instead of being limited to just one. - Existing configurations updated automatically
If you previously had “All item types” selected, all item types (including Sublet) will now be selected in the new multi-select list.
Why this matters
This update gives you more precise control over how fees are applied across different item types. It also ensures that Sublet charges—commonly used in repair workflows—can be included in percentage-based fee calculations, improving accuracy and reducing manual work.
QuickBooks Online: Automatically post Repair Orders
What changed
You can now automatically post Repair Orders (and optionally COGS) to QuickBooks Online (QBO) when an RO reaches its completion state—no more manual posting required.
A new setting allows you to enable auto-sync based on how your store operates (invoicing or finalization). How it works
- New setting in QBO configuration
A toggle is now available in QBO settings:- “Auto-sync to QBO on Invoicing”
This toggle is off by default and only visible when QBO is connected.
- “Auto-sync to QBO on Invoicing”
- Automatic posting trigger
When enabled:- The RO is posted automatically to QBO when it’s invoiced
This works from both the RO screen and Workboard.
- The RO is posted automatically to QBO when it’s invoiced
- COGS support
If COGS posting is enabled, it is automatically included in the same operation. - Activity logs
- Successful auto-posts are logged on the RO (marked as System (Auto-post))
- Failed posts now generate clear error logs with the reason (for both Invoice and COGS)
- Manual posting failures are also now logged with detailed error messages
- Manual fallback
If an auto-post fails, you can still manually post the RO to QBO after resolving the issue.
Why this matters
This update removes the need for manual posting of Repair Orders to QBO, helping ensure your accounting stays accurate, timely, and consistent. It also improves visibility into failures with clearer logging, making reconciliation and troubleshooting much easier.
Purchase Orders — expanded activity log coverage
Purchase Order activity logs now track changes to additional fields, giving you a clearer audit trail of edits made to a PO over time. In addition to the existing Bill Number log (now labeled Supplier Invoice# updated), activity logs will now capture updates to:
- Supplier
- Payment Terms
- Invoice Date
- Tax Rate
Each entry shows who made the change, when it was made, what the value was updated to, and which items were affected — matching the existing activity log format on Purchase Orders.
To view the logs, open any Purchase Order and click the Activity Logs tab.
