Catalog: Inactive items are now automatically removed from Flat Rates and Canned Services

What changed

When you mark a Catalog item as Inactive, the system now checks whether that item is currently used in any Flat Rate items or Canned Services. If it is, you’ll see a confirmation prompt listing exactly where the item appears so you know what will be affected before you proceed.
Once you confirm, the item is automatically removed from all associated Flat Rates and Canned Services. No more inactive items silently sitting inside active service bundles.

How it works

  1. Inactivating a Part, Tire, Labor, or Fee item: If the item is linked to any Flat Rate or Canned Service, a prompt shows you the full list of affected associations. Confirm to inactivate the item and remove it from all of them.

  2. Inactivating a Flat Rate item: If the Flat Rate is included in any Canned Services, the prompt lists those Canned Services. Confirm to inactivate the Flat Rate and remove it from them.

  3. No associations? — If the item isn’t linked to any Flat Rate or Canned Service, it’s inactivated immediately with no prompt. No extra clicks.

  4. Reactivating an item: When you reactivate a previously inactive item, it comes back as a standalone item. It is not automatically re-added to the Flat Rates or Canned Services it was previously part of. You’ll need to re-associate it manually if needed.

Why this matters

Previously, inactivating a Catalog item didn’t touch its associations, meaning inactive items could still appear inside Flat Rates and Canned Services, leading to confusion when those were added to Repair Orders. This update keeps your Catalog, Flat Rates, and Canned Services consistent end to end.

IMPROVEMENTS

Improved payment method defaults in the Payment modal

We’ve updated the Payment modal to make selecting payment methods safer and more intuitive:
  • When only one payment method is available for the chosen payment type, it is now automatically selected to reduce extra clicks.
  • When multiple payment methods are available, the Payment Method dropdown will start empty, and users must explicitly choose a method to avoid accidental selection.
These changes reduce the risk of charging the wrong payment method and make the payment experience more predictable for your front-office team.

Calendar: Reduced Hover Pop‑ups to Avoid Disruption

We’ve improved how appointment details appear when you hover over the calendar. What changed
  • Added a short (~1‑second) delay before showing appointment chips on hover.
  • This prevents appointment details from popping up repeatedly as you move your mouse around the calendar.

Why this helps

  • Reduces visual noise and interruptions when navigating the calendar.
  • Makes it easier to view and manage multiple appointments that are close together or overlapping.
  • Provides a smoother, more controlled experience when checking appointment details.

Where it applies

  • All calendar appointments, regardless of how or where they were created.
